The Forest Hunter Mid GTX boots weigh only about 740 grams per boot despite their leather construction. They have a medium shaft of 18 cm/7” and a slightly wider last. When designing the boot we have created extra space around the toes. This not only provides excellent comfort, but is also useful in cold weather as it gives you more room to move your toes, even when wearing thick, insulating socks. The Forest Hunter Mid GTX boots have a waterproof GORE-TEX MS Advanced recycled membrane. During production, all boot membranes are tested in a water bath to ensure they are waterproof. We then perform a 30-minute centrifuge test on a 5% sample of the total shoe production, as an additional guarantee that the membrane is of the highest possible quality. The upper of the boot is made of nubuck leather and the soles are made of semi-rigid Vibram®, which ensures good grip. The boots also feature a shock-absorbing midsole, for walking comfort over long distances, even on very rough ground. Although very durable, the boots have flex points on the forefoot and heel, for exceptional walking comfort. They are reinforced with an extra robust material at the toe and heel, where wear is usually greatest.
